Sustainable Forestry and Biomass

Biomass includes both trees and foliage that grow in forests as well as agricultural crops.

The Shasta Energy Group attended the National Commission on Science for Sustainable Forestry and National Forest Foundation workshop in Washington, DC April 22, 23 2003.

The Shasta Energy Group participates in local fire safe councils to create infrastructure for fuel load reduction and a wood chip supply line for biomass to energy projects.

See Senator Diane Fienstein's statement on biomass to energy.

The biomass at SOC is a machine that turns biomass into energy.
